BON JOVI To Buy Football Team?
August 7, 2003Jon Bon Jovi is buying a pro football team, according to the New York Post. The rocker, whose band kicked off last year's NFL season with a free concert in Times Square, is snapping up a 50-percent stake in an arena football team in Philadelphia, not far from his beloved New Jersey. The multimillion dollar deal would create a team from scratch, sources say. Steppin' Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden, who tipped the paper off to the story, said, "Jon's lifelong dream was to be involved in a sports team, if not on the field then at least behind the scenes."
